BRC awards Invo Fulfilment the highest AA rating for the third year in a row
It’s a BRC hat-trick for our Southam and Hyde depots following their recent BRC audits. It means that both our teams have received the highest AA rating for three years in a row, making us one of the top fulfilment providers in the country.
The BRC, the British Retail Consortium, is the independent body responsible for setting quality and safety standards across the food industry, and an AA score means that a company is operating at the highest quality level.
For Invo Fulfilment’s Head of Quality and Safety, Dan Mylchreest, it marks a real achievement for the team. “The BRC audit is extremely thorough. The assessors check everything: your processes, procedures, records, traceability, facility cleanliness, and operations compliance. There are inspections of all our fleet and machine handling equipment (MHE). Our staff, buildings, standards and cleanliness left the BRC team very impressed.”
A Continuous Improvement Business
It is part of a bigger picture for Invo Fulfilment, as Dan explains, “BRC is about more than the certification; it is about finding those improvement chances. Yes, the auditor is looking for conformity, but he’s also looking at how you can enhance your business process. We’re a continuous improvement business; we’re always learning, it’s part of our culture and what we do. So having any auditor who can improve our processes is always welcome.”
Having BRC certification has opened doors. Dan continues, “For the large businesses working with us, BRC is vital to their operation, and being recognised as operating to the strictest standards is one of the reasons these companies choose to work with us.”
