We’re delighted to recognise Invo Fulfilment, part of the Involvement Group, as our latest HaulageHub – Digital Freight Marketplace Haulier of the Month.

We recently visited the team to learn more about their business, their growth and how they’re using HaulageHub to reduce empty running and create new opportunities for their fleet. The Involvement story stretches back more than 50 years, beginning as a packaging business in 1974. With warehousing and its own vehicles already an important part of the operation, the business recognised an opportunity to make better use of its transport and storage capacity. That capability has since developed into Invo Fulfilment, a dedicated transport, warehousing and fulfilment operation.

Today, Invo Fulfilment operates a fleet of around 30 vehicles, supporting the Group’s own packaging operation alongside fulfilment customers and a growing general haulage business. The business continues to evolve, including expanding its Palletforce activities and investing in its fleet and technology. They are also BRC AA accredited. It’s also a business with a strong people culture. The Involvement Group is an Employee Ownership Trust and holds Investors in People Platinum status, with a real emphasis on taking ownership and delivering a high level of service.

Technology in Transport

Invo Fulfilment is using HaulageHub to reduce empty running, improve fleet utilisation and give the business greater confidence to pursue new transport opportunities. For contracted routes where return freight can be difficult to find, the team actively uses HaulageHub to identify complementary loads and build more commercially viable round trips. As Operations Director Oliver explained:

“It isn’t just about paying for your fuel home. There’s really good-paying work on there. Having greater confidence that return freight can be found means the business can look differently at new contracts and destinations. A delivery into Scotland, the South West or outside its traditional operating area doesn’t necessarily have to mean hundreds of empty miles coming home. It allows us to go after these larger contracts knowing that we can network our trucks back using work from HaulageHub.”

And for us, that sums up exactly what HaulageHub should deliver. Reducing empty running isn’t just about making an existing journey more efficient. It can help hauliers expand their operating area, compete for new contracts and ultimately grow their businesses.

Invo Fulfilment is a fantastic example of an ambitious transport operator embracing technology, focusing on service and continually looking for ways to operate smarter. Congratulations to the entire team on being our latest HaulageHub Haulier of the Month.”
